With the successful completion of the Dive Master Course you completed the first step into the professional direction into the scuba diving sport.

The assistant instructor course offers you the possibility to apply your theoretical knowledge into practice.

In this course you can deepen your experience in the training of students and at the same time get introduced to the responsibilities of a dive instructor.
You will learn the most important aspects of conducting theoretical lectures and get new experiences dealing with dive students.  

The pre-requisites for this course are:
•    Divemaster Brevet
•    Minimum of 90 logged dives before the start of the course.

The training to become an assistant instructor entails the following:
•    Conducting an Open Water Diver Course under the supervision of a certified instructor.
•    Conducting an Advanced Diver Course under the supervision of a certified instructor.
•    Conducting a complete Rescue Diver Course under the supervision of a certified instructor.

These three courses will be completed independently during the training to become an assistant instructor. You will conduct the complete theory lessons, swimming pool lessons and open water independently. Your instructor will be present through your lectures to control the level of education of your students at all times.

After the successful completion of this course you have the possibility to go further and become a dive instructor. As certified assistant instructor you are allowed to offer and conduct independently snorkel diver courses and award brevets for that.
With the additional training in the area of medical first aid and oxygen provider, you are allowed to offer these courses and issue brevets.

With the successful completion as assistant instructor you acquired at the same time a very good practical preparation for the instructor training course (ITC).
